Why does the top of my candle look bumpy or uneven after burning?
2
Don’t worry—this is actually the “proof” of purity. Rough, bumpy tops are natural characteristic of 100% soy wax. It happens when the wax cools at different speeds. It doesn’t mean your candle is defective; it means it is free of the plastic-like additives and “filth” found in mass-produced candles.
What is tunneling and how do I prevent it?
3
Tunneling is when a candle burns down the center, leaving a ring of hard wax around the edges. to prevent this your first burn is the most important: Let the candle burn until the melted wax pool reaches all the way to the glass edges. this sets the “memory” of the wax and ensures you get the full value of the candle.
Why is there a slight “frosting” on my wax?
4
if you see white, crystalline shapes on your candle, that is “frosting”. it is a natural byproduct of a natural wax. it does not affect the scent of the burn—it’s just the soy wax trying to return to its natural state.
How do I practice proper candle safety?
5
Trim the wick: Always trim your cotton wick to ¼ inch before every light. this prevents the flame from getting too high and keeps the burn clean.
watch the clock: do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
placement: keeps your “oasis” away from drafts, ceiling fans, and flammable objects. never leave a burning candle unattended.
Can I repurpose my BRWN MOOD vessel?

Don’t worry—this is actually the “proof” of purity. Rough, bumpy tops are natural characteristic of 100% soy wax. It happens when the wax cools at different speeds. It doesn’t mean your candle is defective; it means it is free of the plastic-like additives and “filth” found in mass-produced candles. absolutely, we designed our vessels to be permanent pieces of your home’s “moody luxury” aesthetic. once ½ inch of wax remains, stop burning the candle. carefully wash the vessel with warm, soapy water to remove the remaining soy wax (which is biodegradable and easy to clean!). They make beautiful planters, brush holders, or desktop organizers.
